The word unique implies a one off production; strictly speaking that seems un-true, I think the argument was that the final metalique glazing caused colours to appear different each time.
The VA painting initials are interesting. The 2 people as mentioned above painted this vase, the reason is probably that they found out they could produce more if they worked together. E.g. one drew the outlines, and the other applied the paint. So they used the surname initial letter for each of them.
Overall this jug has a very interesting glaze, the glaze shines a bit like a new car. The handle looks very coppery to me.
