For the purpose of dating these "Dutch Art Pottery" vases, this is an interesting one. The glazing used is remarkably different. I have seen more matt glazed pottery from the PZH from when they started to use this technique. As far as I am concerned this is an early matt decor, it is not the same at all compared to what is used in and after 1917. For that reason I gave this one an early date. Also the mark is a non standard one; the decor name was clearly wiped out, and now instead of showing the full decor name of "Laughing Jackass" it only shows the word "Jack", as if someone took offence to the words "laughing" and "Ass". They were just not used to these decor names.
