Decor: Waratah Year: 1927. High:
31cm. Wide: 31cm Painted
by: DB = Dirk van der Bree.
This is a special Gouda piece for people living in Australia. The Waratah
shrub or tree is native to Australia and is quite a well known icon down
here; it is the flower emblem of the New South Wales state.
These decors were specifically designed to be sold in
Australia, and then marketed under the name of "Dutch Art Pottery";
but this one did not have these words, and was therefore probably sold locally in the
Netherlands.
