This pottery was produced by the "Mijnlieff"-pottery in Utrecht. The company mark is a leaf with the letters JM inside of it. (jm = owner Jan Mijnlieff)
This Mijnlieff pottery together with the Rozenburg pottery in the Hague and the Brantjes pottery in Purmerend, were used by Gouda potteries as inspiration, their production methods and accompanying techniques were happily followed and over time adapted to cope with the changing world in the early 1900's.
On the whole, the painting on these three potteries were of a high standard, but none of them survived the industrial challenges in the early 1900's, the Gouda based potteries on the other hand lasted for many more years.
The liquor decanter was produced on behalf of the Fockink Wijnand liquor business; the vase was produced on behalf of the Holland America Line, those days this company had its headquarters in Rotterdam.
