Decor: Helene Year: around 1920. High:
6cm. Wide: 12cm Painted
by: HvG = Helena van Greuningen.
The Gouda PZH also produced tea-sets. The most complete one, much bigger
than just a tea-service, was called Juliette, many different pieces can be
found, it was produced from the late 1910’s into the 1930’s. Most teasets
however are smaller, decors like Anjer and Rhodian can be found amongst
them.
The one above is a cup and saucer with the Helene decoration. This décor
was produced around 1920. I have taken these 2 pictures because I want to
show the detail present here. The tea-cup is only small, but an incredible
amount of painting. The picture on the left is found on the front and the
back of the cup. The picture on the right is found on both sides.
They also made every effort to make this look like porcelain and not like
earthenware. For another teaset, click
