Gouda Lidded Pots

My collection, hand painted and  one of a kind.

The small one front left is a trinket box, roughly in the middle of the picture there is a general purpose pot.

The most common pot I have seen seems to be the tobacco jar, smaller sizes were used as trinket boxes and the bigger ones were used for sweets or other storage purposes.

The big yellowish pot was actually made to keep something like a fruit punch in it. On the rim there is space for a ladle.

The small orange pot in the front in the middle is an inkwell. That seems very antique in today’s world.

I personally believe the pots are the hardest to find in good condition, for starters there are 2 parts to the piece of pottery, and all the lifting on an off is not helping to keep things in good condition.
