Ivora pottery clogs

These are Gouda Ivora clogs, model 501, 203 and 343. The clogs with model 203 are not the same length, so really they should not have the same model number. Ivora pottery does not have all that many different decor names. Instead they added a number as a suffix at the end of the decor name; this was then used for variations on that decor. The one one called Astra is cold glazed, i.e. a very thin layer of glaze just sprayed on.  The others are normally glazed.
It is not easy to see the difference between matt and cold glaze on a picture, but with cold glaze you can still feel the brush strokes used to bring on the paint.  There is a bit more about cold glaze   HERE

This is my oldest Ivora clog. The decor reminds me a bit of the decors with dancing people from "De Distel" pottery.
